Varsity Elite Volleyball Club was formed in 2007. Varsity Elite Volleyball Club is committed to
provide players with the best possible opportunities to improver their playing standards through
high quality practices using coaches who have a common coaching philosophy. Our goal is to help
players achieve their potential and move on to the highest level appropriate to their ability. Only
serious and committed players with a desire to learn and excel will be considered for our teams.

Introduction
There are three levels of USA Volleyball Junior competition:
* Regional Teams
* American Teams
* National Teams
* Regional Teams

General Information
The number of age groups and teams will be determined based on the quality of players that tryout
for the club. The club will be considering teams in all age groups between 12 and 18.
Note:
*Only three players from the same school can be on the same team for grades 7-12 in Ohio.
*A high school coach cannot coach players from their own school.
*USA Volleyball rules have some differences fron high school rules.

Varsity Elite Volleyball Club Teams
The tryout will be compromised of physical and individual skill tests and lastly, performance in
game situations. Selection criteria are based on our observations of performance at the tryout and
the individual's potential. Athletes selected will be expected to display athletic ability, skill,
determination, a good work ethic, competitiveness, and the ability to work as a team member.
Following the tryout session, the coaching staff will inform athletes of the next procedure to take
place and will hold a selection meeting. Selected players will either be informed at the tryout , or
on the website, or contacted by phone or email. Selected players must notify the Club Director by
email within ten days of being offered a spot that they are accepting their spot, or the offer may be
withdrawn. Once you send the email confirming acceptance, you may not play for any other USA
Volleyball Junior Club during the 2010-2011 season. Selected athletes will be placed on teams by
the Club Directors AFTER the first two weeks of practice, according to their ability. This is not a
negotiable process.

Fees will not include the cost of parents and players travel or accommodations at any tournament
that the club enters. It is anticipated that the teams will play in 7 tournaments plus the Ohio Valley
Regional tournament in Columbus.
